Since 1995 Cecilia Puga has her own practice in Santiago de Chile where she has undertaken different scale designs projects, such as family houses, social community housing, educational and industrial equipment and urban design. In 2009 she was selected by Herzog & De Meuron among 100 architects throughout the World to design a Villa in Inner Mongolia in the context of Ordos 100 project, conducted by artist Wei Wei. Numerous national and International specialized media have published her work. In 2010, 2G International Architecture Magazine dedicated a monographic number to her. Besides other academic activities, in 2007 she was a visiting professor at the school of architecture, University of Texas, Austin; and in 2009, joined the Symposium Latitudes: Architecture in the Americas 2009 which also took place in Austin. This same year she was invited to lead a Studio at the GSD at Harvard, Cambridge; and in 2011, was in charge of a Short Studio Design in the BIAarch in Barcelona, Spain. For the 2012 Venice Biennale she was invited to be part of the Valerio Olgiati installation which collection of images were later published at the “The Image of Architects”, by the same author. Parallel to her professional and teaching activities, she is a member of the Executive Commitee of Fundación Familia Larrain Echenique, in charge of the Museo de Arte Precolombino in Santiago de Chile.
